Do You Struggle with the Fear of the Unknown?

Something I’ve been hearing from my clients, friends, and experiencing myself during these past few weeks more and more…

What used to work for us isn’t working anymore.

The way we’ve been approaching things feels stagnant and outdated.

And/or we’ve accomplished what we wanted to and that feeling of “is this all there is?” is creeping in.

There is an uncomfortable level of space that has been permeating our lives.

The unknown void space of what’s to come.

And if you’ve been feeling this too — I want to remind you that space and the unknown is just as valuable as busyness and certainty.

Our life is just like a runway at an airport.

There are always planes taking off and leaving the runway.

And always new planes that are trying to land on the runway.

These planes represent the different areas of our lives.

Our work. Our relationships. Our goals. Our feelings. How we think. How we act. How we approach life.

If your runway is packed full with the same planes that aren’t MOVING and keeping you stuck in the same patterns …

There is zero space for NEW planes to land.

We NEED space.

Space is potential. Space is possibility.

Space allows new planes to arrive.

The people. The opportunities. The mindset shifts. The feelings.  The reality.

They’re on their way to you.

You may not know the arrival time or location just yet, but the first step is making space on the runway of your life.

The space you have now will give them the opportunity to land.

Here are some questions to reflect on, if you’ve been feeling this too:

  1. What have I been holding onto — that it’s time to release and let go of? This could be a way of thinking, a job, a person, a habit, etc.

  2. What potential can I find in the space I have available at this moment?

  3. How can I become more comfortable with the possibility of what’s to come?
