What If Nothing Was Wrong?

I’m lying in bed and the tears are brimming.

It’s 2019 and just got back from my friend’s house surrounded by 3 long-term couples, asking me about how my dating life was going.

I respond with a smile, but inside I’m struggling just being in the same room as the potential I so. badly. want.

The sinking feeling is so great I can’t push it away anymore.

It’s called: loneliness

I’ve been resisting it for years.

Never truly choosing to feel it.

To accept it.

But in this moment — I let it flood in.

“What does this feeling of loneliness mean about me and where I’m at in life?”

I let the question float.

The tears streaming down my face carry the weight of this very question — releasing what I’ve been resisting for years.

A calm comes over me — quicker than I thought it would.

(…I later learn it only takes 90 seconds for an emotion to move through you from a biological standpoint — it’s up to us if we choose to re-stimulate it in the mind.)

An internal voice whispers to me:

“It means what I choose for it to mean.

A sense of freedom washes over me.

Has my acceptance of the loneliness actually dissipated it?

It has.

What if everything that you’re doing, being, and the stage you’re at in life…

Is exactly what you are meant to be doing and being at this moment?

—> What if nothing was wrong??

What if this was just part of being a human?

Imagine the FREEDOM that comes with your acceptance.

Because if nothing is wrong, then you are just having a very vibrant human experience.

It’s not always what you think it should be.

It’s laced with allllll of the range of emotions and feelings.

It’s pretty weird most of the time (lol).

But you are alive.

Can you accept it?

And can you accept it — while cultivating the mindset, actions, and energy for what you truly want?
